our mission

To dismantle single-party rule in Utah and build a sustainable path to political power for Democrats, independents, and anyone ready to govern with sanity, integrity, and public trust.

We do that by recruiting and training future leaders, investing in competitive races, giving voters clear and entertaining explanations of what’s happening, and building the media and infrastructure ecosystem that Republicans have had to themselves for far too long. We’re not here to be an influencer account. We’re here to flip seats and change the narrative, one TikTok, one Substack post, one strategic investment at a time.

Our north star: eliminate one-party control at every level of Utah government by elevating new leadership, activating the state’s changing demographics, and telling stories that connect across ideology, faith, and region.

WHAT WE DO (AND HOW WE DO IT)

recruitment & Training

We identify, vet, and support candidates for office, especially in state legislative and local races where the stakes are high but the resources are low. We provide:

  • Early mentorship and exploratory support

  • Training on messaging, field, digital, and fundraising

  • A roadmap for navigating Utah’s unique political and cultural terrain.

Early & Strategic Investment

All funding is helpful, but a lot of it shows up too late. We invest early and intentionally in key swing districts and overlooked races where we can chip away at GOP control. That includes:

  • Giving directly to candidates

  • Providing in-kind campaign support (polling, design, digital, etc.)

  • Funding coordinated voter contact in flippable areas

Data-Driven Targeting

Our strategy isn’t vibes. It’s maps, models, and microtargeting. We track:

  • Demographic shifts

  • Voter registration trends

  • Down-ballot performance indicators

  • National and local investment patterns Then we use that data to optimize every dollar and every door-knock.

Narrative Power & Media

Utah Republicans have owned the narrative for too long—and we’re here to change that. Through our Substack, social media, dashboards, and video content, we:

  • Translate policy and politics into plain English

  • Expose corruption, extremism, and hypocrisy in the Legislature

  • Celebrate progress and lift up local leaders

  • Create viral content that activates and informs a new political audience

Infrastructure Building

We don’t just fund campaigns, we build ecosystems. We connect aligned PACs, grassroots groups, and advocacy organizations to share resources, build coalitions, and develop long-term power structures to win more than just one cycle.

Our Team

Gabi Finlayson

Gabi Finlayson brings a wealth of experience from some of the most high-profile political battlegrounds in the country. Her career began with local and congressional campaigns in Utah before joining Pete Buttigieg’s 2020 presidential campaign in Iowa, then Colorado. She later served as New Hampshire Youth Organizing Director for President Biden’s 2020 General Election campaign, where she led efforts that increased statewide youth voter turnout by 18% and boosted Democratic support among young voters by 13%.

Following the Biden campaign, Gabi stayed in New England, managing two pivotal campaigns in Boston: a mayoral race and a state Senate special election that resulted in the election of the first Black woman to the Massachusetts State Senate. Her success led to her appointment as the youngest legislative Chief of Staff in modern Massachusetts history.

Gabi returned to Utah to give candidates, causes, and elected officials the elevated management and guidance they deserve.

Ben Haynes

With 17 years of political experience, Ben has established himself as one of Utah’s leading communications strategists. He served as Communications Director for the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office for five years, where his work generated over $2.1 million per year in earned media and ensured near-daily coverage through strong relationships with reporters. Ben began his career with the County My Vote ballot initiative before joining Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, where he worked across five states, including leading efforts in one of the country’s most competitive battleground counties in Pennsylvania during the 2016 election.

Ben’s unique approach combines his expertise in media relations and earned media strategy with the heart of an organizer, honed through years of volunteer management and coalition building. Known for his ability to craft compelling narratives and execute winning strategies, Ben has helped re-elect the first Indian-born District Attorney in the U.S. three times and continues to deliver impactful results for candidates and causes.
