FAQs

WHEN IS ELECTION DAY?

Tuesday, November 5th! That means your ballot needs to be in a dropbox by 8PM or be in line to vote by 8PM.

CAN I STILL REGISTER TO VOTE?

Yes, until October 25th in order to receive a mail-in ballot and then in-person on election day.

what if I moved?

Just make sure to update your voter registration with your new address before the deadline. If you're unsure where to start, check your registration status here to get sorted.

What if I don’t like any of the candidates?

You’re not alone! But remember, even if none of them are perfect, your vote can still support the one who’s closest to your values. And there are lots of important races up and down your ballot, so make sure you fill it out all the way.

Plus, you can always run for office next time... Just saying.

What if I have more questions?

Your local County Clerk has all the answers. You can always call them (it’s easier than making a doctors appointment). Or here are some more answers.

WHEN DOES YOUR BALLOT NEED TO BE POSTMARKED BY?

Your ballot needs to be postmarked by November 4th. That means, probably don't try to mail it on Monday. We recommend mailing your ballot by Saturday, November 2nd. Otherwise, drop it off in one of the many dropbox locations.

What if I accidentally mess up my ballot?

No worries! Make sure you clearly mark what your choice is (cross through the incorrect one and draw a check or an arrow next to the right one), real humans will check it out and make sure your vote is counted. All you need to do is make your intent clear. Just don't sign or initial your ballot.

Is there a dress code for voting?

Nope, but showing up in an "I Voted" t-shirt after you’ve actually voted? Now that’s a look. (But you can’t wear any campaign shirts, buttons, etc to any polling location!)
